Board of Directors - Bill Zeigler

Born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania and grew up in Greencastle, Pennsylvania. Bill attended Manatee Jr. College in Bradenton, Florida on a baseball and basketball scholarship. From there, Bill went to Florida State University on a baseball scholarship. Upon graduation, Bill was appointed Assistant Athletic Trainer under Don Fauls for all sports at the College. In the spring of 1970, Bill was hired as the Athletic Trainer for the Washington Senators Major League Baseball Team under Manager, Ted Williams (his boyhood idol). In 1972 the franchise moved to Texas and was renamed the Texas Rangers. Bill Worked as the Trainer for the Texas Rangers Major League Baseball team for 22 years. He worked with several Hall of Famers such as Ted Williams, Gaylord Perry, Nellie Fox, Fergie Jenkins and Nolan Ryan.

Bill was chosen to work All-Star games in 1977 in Yankee Stadium and 1986 in the Houston Astrodome. He also traveled and worked with an All-Star team picked to go to Japan in 1986.

In 1981, Don Andrews introduced Bill to the Justin Sportsmedicine Program in which he would work several winter rodeos after the baseball season was over. His last year in Major League Baseball was 1991 and after that, Bill signed on full time as Athletic Trainer with the Justin Sportsmedicine Program (better known as a Justin Heeler).
