Dane Scott has been producing results for his clients for over 20 years.
A producer, writer and editor, Scott's career started in 1981 when,
after a Bachelor of Arts from Fort Hays State University and a graduate
internship at University of Nebraska Educational TV, he was hired by
KOB-TV (NBC affiliate) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A short two years
later, Scott was recruited along with his KOB production manager, to
move to Colorado Springs, Colorado for the challenge of building a production
company named Windstar Studios for the automotive promotion company,
Graham Advertising.
Windstar Studios quickly became one of the largest production companies
in Colorado with employment growing from two to twenty five in less
than five years. As Vice President, Scott's duties included all aspects
of the production process, including marketing, and the results were
loyal clients such as the United States Olympic Committee, the Professional
Rodeo Cowboys Association and many more.
Over ten years passed and a new challenge was in order, along with
the desire to own his own company, so Scott resigned his position with
Windstar. In 1997 he co-founded a Western Music record label called
Western Jubilee Recording Company. WJRC released over twenty records
by various artists in a five-year period and earned numerous prestigious
awards including a Grammy nomination. Video and film production were
never far from Scott's heart while in the music business and he continued
his freelance work, keeping his hand in the business by developing a
direct television marketing campaign for the record label and working
three Olympic games, World Cup Soccer, US Open Tennis, and for USA Network
Sports.
In September of 2003 Scott sold his share of Western Jubilee to form
Dane Scott Productions
and pursue an already successful return to his first love: video and
film production.
