My name is Joe Hannah and I'm 72 years old as of February 1st 2004. My wife, Kay, who passed away April 3rd of this year, gave me five children of whom I'm very proud. We have twelve grandchildren.

I'm part of a western singing group named the "Sons of the San Joaquin" from the valley and river of the same name in central California.

Family, church, baseball, football and music describe Joe Hannah. I played professional baseball for 13 years after high school with a 2-year interval in the army from 1952-1954 with 11 months in Korea. After baseball in 1963 I went back to school and became a teacher. I retired from teaching in 1992 to pursue a cowboy-singing career with my brother Jack and my oldest son Lon. We have 12 CDs and still going.

It is an honor to be selected on the board of the Heartland Alliance of America.
