Each Spring and Fall, Heartland Alliance of America awards thousands of dollars in Academic Scholarships to Members and students in their families. A Heartland Scholar application is printed on pages 33 & 34 for your use.

• The Scholar Program offers awards to students who qualify.

• Awards are based on good grades, extracurricular activities, and number of applicants.

• Recipients of Heartland Scholar funds may be advised to declare these proceeds based

upon applicable state and federal income tax rulings. A portion of your membership dues each month—5% of the total payment—is held in an escrow account for the funding of the Scholar Program.
